THE GALLERY AT MILLSY'S

A flexible space in the heart of Earlsdon, in close proximity to the city centre, Coventry rail station, Canley station, and both Coventry & Warwick universities.

Alongside dining & private parties, The Gallery is a space for events including Wine Club and Pudding Club, networking gatherings, private celebrations, exhibitions, workshops and community events.

Capacities depend on the exact table arrangement and decorations, balloon arches etc will change the totals.

We can work with you to discuss table layouts & setup to meet the requirements of your event.

For seated events, once we have your final numbers we provide a table plan showing the maximum capacities of each table, we can also have name cards with your guests meal choices which helps large party dining to run smoothly.

With the upstairs Gallery having a capacity of 60 seated guests, or 80+ standing guests, private hire availability is based on reaching a minimum spend either in food or drinks.

As all food needs to be provided by us, most of our parties usually opt for us to cater a buffet. This means we can offer your guests some quality, freshly prepared food and also allows us to cover our costs of staffing, lighting, cleaning and maintaining the room, meaning we don't have a minimum spend requirement for the bar.

If you will be having our buffet catering, we take £50 deposit up front to secure the date, deducted from the catering which can be settled on the day.

For parties without catering, we take a £200 deposit up front to secure the date.

The room would then be available without any additional hire charge, provided the bar upstairs reaches a minimum spend of £2,000 during the evening. If the £2,000 bar spend is reached, the £200 deposit will be credited against the final drinks bill. If the bar spend does not reach £2,000, the £200 deposit would instead be retained as the room hire charge and would not be deducted from the drinks purchased.

For a party of approximately 80 guests, a £2,000 bar spend works out at around £25 - £30 per guest. For parties of your size with current average drinks prizes this would equate to guests drinking an average of around 5-6 drinks each. The private bar upstairs has its own till, so the spend can be monitored throughout the evening. The total bar spend can be made up in lots of different ways, including guests purchasing their own drinks, along with any pre-ordered welcome drinks eg buckets of bottled beer, bottles of wine for tables, Prosecco for a toast, etc.

For those not looking for catering or able to commit to the minimum spend we can introduce a fixed hire charge, this is dependent on the exact date and expected number of guests and is available upon request.

Private hire available for a £600+ food spend
equivalent to a buffet for 48 guests at £12.50pp, or 30 guests dining from our three course large party menu

Private hire available for a £2,000+ bar spend
equivalent to a £25pp spend for parties of around 80 guests

The below charges are for Friday & Saturday nights. Midweek & Sunday we have more flexibility to allow private hire for spends below this, please contact us for more information.

We occasionally take large party breakfast bookings so please keep in mind there may not be the opportunity to drop off decorations earlier on during the day of your booking.

We are able to offer exclusive day hire by introducing a supplement charge, pricing for this is available on request.

Without exclusive hire, the room may be in use for lunchtime bookings before your event. While we’re happy to allow access for decorating whenever the room is free, this is dependent on our earlier bookings and cannot be guaranteed.

We do not allow any party poppers, streamers, glitter, table sprinkles, confetti-filled balloons or confetti of any type, as when these get wet they permanently stain our tables/hardwood floors.

However balloons/balloon walls, banners, welcome easels, signs, photo walls, table centrepieces etc are all allowed, as long as anything affixed is done using wall safe command strips / mounting tape rather than sellotape or blu-tac which damages the paint on our walls.

Any damage to the room or paintwork will incur further charges.

With limited space available we're unfortunately not able to store any items overnight, so any decorations etc left at the end of your booking will be disposed of.

The room's sound system is wired into our bar computer, so you can use the computer to access online streaming services, or email us your playlist ahead of time and we can access this via our Spotify account.

The room is fitted with two big screen TVs in case you'd like to display any photo memories or a welcome card. These need to be emailed across no later than two days in advance. We will not be able to assist with photo playback or any technical issues for photos provided on the day.

You are able to provide your own DJ or solo musician. Live entertainers need to be advised they will be required to supply all of their own equipment, including power cables, decks, speakers/amps, monitors etc as they'll be unable to plug into the room's existing sound system.

All of the equipment that they use must be PAT tested and in date. They should also have Public Liability Insurance in place.

As the room has its own privately manned bar you have a range of drinks options available to you including Prosecco, bottled beer or cocktails for a welcome drink / toast, G&T trees, bar tabs that we can limit to certain drinks, or simply personal bar tabs for the organising party to buy.

Our fully stocked bar has an excellent selection of wines, spirits & mixers, alongside plenty of non-alcoholic options.

If your booking falls during one of our advertised drinks promotions downstairs in the bar, eg. our sunset sips or weekend fizz offers, this drinks pricing will also be available for your party.

The restaurant is accessible via a wheelchair platform stairlift which can be used in conjunction with one of our low chairs to offer access upstairs.

Unfortunately upstairs does not have a disabled WC, our dedicated disabled bathroom is located on the ground floor.
